Having an access control system means that you can decide who can and cannot enter your building at any time of the day or night.
Obviously we all have locks and keys to secure buildings as we all have contents that need protection from theft, be it manufactured goods, expensive equipment, staff property etc.. but keys can be lost or worse stolen and copied providing an even greater security risk and then there is the expense of having to have all the locks changed and the inconvenience of having to re-issue all the keys. If your building is unlocked all day whilst the staff are in work then there is always the possibility of someone not so welcome coming into the premises and if not challenged they could access areas, cause damage or steal available items.
Installing an electronic access control system provides an efficient and convenient way of securing your building and assets and means that you will never have to change a lock again. Tokens are issued to allow access through the controlled doors, these tokens are easily barred from the system if they are lost, stolen or just not returned by someone who leaves your company. Barred tokens will not allow access through the controlled doors.
Once installed, all doors controlled by the system will automatically lock when the door is closed. Anyone without a PIN/access token is unable to enter ensuring the people who should be there can get in and the people who shouldn’t do not. It can also be set to have internal areas with restricted access therefore only allowing the people working in a certain maybe secure department access to that area. The systems can also be set with a time restriction therefore only granting certain people access to particular areas at certain times of the day or night.
Access control systems offer a secure, cost effective way of controlling who has access to your building and when that access is allowed, it has the flexibility your company may need and most important gives you the security you need.
