Intruder Alarm Service/Installation Engineer

Intruder Alarm Service/Installation Engineer required for small family run business based in Wimborne. We are SSAIB accredited and work to current regulations.
Main responsibilities will include service and maintenance of Intruder Alarm Systems. Along with some installation work, when necessary, for both commercial and domestic premises. Out of hs emergency call outs are carried out on a rota basis.
Engineers should have a minimum of three years’ experience working with Intruder Alarm Systems, with a knowledge of various control panels. Network/IP experience would be beneficial. Need to be reliable, trustworthy, self-motivated, presentable with good customer service skills. Be able to work on their own and have good communication skills with the other engineers and office staff who would support and direct them on a daily basis.
This is a full-time permanent position. Although we would also consider a part time position for the right person. A full UK Driving Licence essential, with no criminal record as Full Security Screening and DBS Checks are required.
Salary: £12 – £15 per hour (depending on age and experience).
Working Week: 8.30am – 5.30pm Monday – Friday with emergency call outs on a rota basis (1/2hr unpaid lunch break).

Intruder Alarm Apprentice

Intruder Alarm Apprentice required for small family run business based in Wimborne. We are SSAIB accredited and work to current regulations.
The apprentice will attend Yeovil College for the Level 3 Fire emergency and security systems technician Apprenticeship, which is carried out in block weeks. Year 1- 10 weeks, Year 2- 6 weeks and Year 3- 4 weeks. This course also includes Critical Health & Safety knowledge for the achievement of the Electrotechnical Certification Scheme (ECS) card (CSCS affiliated) and regular assessment to ensure deep & thorough understanding, with a clear demonstration of competence before attempting the end-point assessment.
After the three years the successful applicant will be offered a full-time position of Service/Installation Engineer as per above job description.
Salary: £4.81 per hour for the 1st year with annual rises depending on age.
Working Week: 8.30am – 5.30pm Monday – Friday (1/2hr unpaid lunch break).
Benefits: 23 Days Holiday + 8 Bank Holidays (Pension Scheme once age 21) (Upon completion of the apprenticeship a Company Van will be supplied).
